Frozen Body of Afghan Mountaineer was found from K2 Summit

The Iceman of Afghanistan has said that if the necessary arrangements for his trip to Pakistan are made, he will retrieve the body of Afghan mountaineer.


Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, On July 21, while ascending Pakistan’s K2 summit, Ali Akbar Sakhi died unexpectedly after a heart attack.

 
According to mountaineers, because descending Ali Akbar’s body from the top of K2 takes a skilled and prepared team.

Raqib Farooqi, who was recently appointed as the Islamic Emirate army corps’ sports officer in Herat, gained notoriety for engaging in strenuous physical activity while it was minus 22 degrees Celsius; photographs of these activities were shared on social media.

On July 21, Afghan mountaineer Ali Akbar Sakhi, who founded the HikeVentures society and non-profit organization for hiking and mountaineering, died while climbing K2, the second-highest mountain in the world.

Sakhi was a highly accomplished climber who comes from the northern Afghan province of Baghlan’s Doshi district.

After 17 days of ascension, he and 9 other members of his HikeVenture community successfully reached Afghanistan’s highest peak, Naw Shakh peak, in northeastern Afghanistan.

Mountaineers must overcome the most difficult and perilous mountain to reach the K2 summit, which is 8611 meters above sea level and the second-highest mountain in the world after Everest.

However, as of February 2021, only about 377 people had successfully climbed to the top of K2.
