Floods in Afghanistan/ Islamic Emirate asked for help from the international community
During a press conference, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, while referring to the occurrence of floods in different parts of the country and stating that more than 180 people have lost their lives in these floods in the last one month, asked the international community to help Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): In recent weeks, floods have caused widespread destruction in the central and eastern provinces of Afghanistan and destroyed thousands of houses, which has aggravated the economic and humanitarian crisis of this country.
 
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said in a press conference: "The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan cannot manage the flood alone." We ask the world, international organizations and Islamic countries to help us."
 
Mujahid said that 182 people were killed and 250 people were injured due to the flood this month. According to the statistics provided by this official of the Islamic Emirate, more than 3100 houses were completely destroyed and thousands of livestock were killed.
 
This year, Afghanistan was involved in natural disasters such as drought and earthquake. The earthquake in the month of Cancer killed more than a thousand people in this country.
 
Rescue workers in Khushi district in the center of Logar province reported widespread destruction caused by strong floods in recent days.
 
On the other hand, UNICEF announced that about 20,000 people were affected by the flood in this area, 20 of whom were killed, including six children, and two others were missing.
 
"People lost everything overnight," Ann Kindrachuk, head of UNICEF's central Afghanistan region, said after visiting the area.
