Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, Acting Minister of National Defense, said in the government’s accountability program today Sunday, that the number of the National Armed Forces of the country has reached 150,000.
He said, we have 8 border brigades, each of which has around 3,000 members of the armed forces. Mujahid, says that in the past year, more than 60 damaged helicopters have been repaired and are ready for use.
In response to the reporter’s question about the US drones, said: ” the American drones enter Afghanistan from Pakistan, and we want Pakistan not to allow them to enter Afghanistan,”.
In the past days, the Ministry made many couple flights rescue those who were trapped in floods across the country adding somehow more than 3000 people who were stuck in floods in different parts of the country.
Defense Minister said “killing Ayman Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda in Afghanistan is a basis less claim by America, adding the investigation underway on the matter.”
He said that the forces of the Islamic Army have the ability to defend the country’s territorial integrity and independence, and continue to make rapid efforts to improve their professional level and equipment.
Helicopters and planes that were transferred to neighboring countries with the change of regime are the right of Afghans and they should return to the country, he said.
Meanwhile, Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s chief of the army said that the problems that occurred from time to time in the border areas of the country were inherited from the previous governments and the continuation of the problems are the history and the Islamic Emirate is striving to solve them through dialogue.
He added that in the incidents of rocket firing that were carried out by malicious people at the borders, these people were identified and arrested.
The chief of the army says all parts of Panjshir are under control and the situation is good, adding that they are advertising to show insecurity in Panjshir.
