Afghan Immigrants do not go to Shalamcheh border until further notice
The deputy security and law enforcement officer of the Ministry of Interior of Iran has stated that they have already reached an agreement with the Iraqi authorities so that Afghan nationals with special passports issued by the Iranian Passport Police can cross the Shalamcheh border. But these nationals have not yet succeeded in crossing the border, which is being pursued. He asked the Afghan pilgrims of Arbaeen Hussaini to refrain from visiting this border until further notice.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Sayed Majid Mirahmadi, in an interview on Sunday night (September 4), noted: After consulting with the Iraqi authorities, they agreed that Pakistani pilgrims can cross the Shalamcheh border in a group by land, but they have not been able to coordinate yet. They should do what is necessary with their border guards and we are constantly following this issue.

The Deputy Minister of Security and Law of the Ministry of Interior/Iran stated: According to the agreement I had with the Deputy Minister of Interior of Iraq, it was decided that Afghan nationals with special passports issued by the Iranian Passport Police can cross the Shalamcheh border, but these nationals have not yet succeeded in crossing the border. This issue is also being followed up.
