UN Security Council emphasis on ensuring the security of diplomatic missions
In reaction to the death of two Russian diplomats in an explosion in front of the Russian Embassy in Kabul, the United Nations Security Council has published a statement demanding to guarantee the safety of diplomats and diplomatic institutions.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The members of this council have said in a statement that according to international principles and conventions, the security of diplomatic missions and consulates should be ensured and serious efforts should be made to save the lives of diplomats.
While condemning the attack in front of the Russian Embassy in Kabul, the Security Council said: The members of the Security Council ask all relevant parties to respect the safety of diplomatic employees, diplomatic and consular missions and guarantee their security.
This international institution has emphasized that terrorism is a serious threat to international peace and security, wherever and in any form, and its sponsors and financiers should also be prosecuted.
As a result of a suicide attack in front of the Russian embassy in Kabul, six people including two employees of this embassy were killed on Monday of this week (September 5).
