United Nations aid to Afghanistan/ 5 new projects are going to be built

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), this organization is launching 5 huge projects to support the people of Afghanistan in the areas of food security, health, and education. According to this institution, the value of these projects will be close to 900 million dollars.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): OCHA published a report today (Saturday, September 10, 2022) saying that these projects are in the areas of food security, health emergency responses, educational emergency responses and supporting the capacity of non-governmental organizations.
 
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, these projects are designed to help Afghan women and girls.
 
OCHA has emphasized that these projects will cost a total of $893 million, which will be financed by the World Bank and Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) donors.
 
Based on OCHA information, 195 million dollars to Afghanistan's emergency food security, 265 million dollars to the resistance and livelihood of the Afghan society, 333 million dollars to the health emergency response department, 100 million dollars to the education emergency response department and 20 million dollars to support the capacity of non-governmental organizations. In Afghanistan, it is assigned.
 
The United Nations has emphasized that due to the sanctions, the Islamic Emirate will not have access to the financial resources of these projects.
