Hekmatyar demanded the formation of a transitional government in a peaceful manner
Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, the head of Afghanistan's Islamic Party, called for a joint meeting between representatives of influential Afghan parties and representatives of the ruling body in a 7-point proposal to the Islamic Emirate to establish a transitional government.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hekmatyar also emphasized that the meeting should be held in a neutral country, and suggested that foreign stakeholders and UN representatives be present as observers and supporters in this process.

Providing details about the main points of his proposed agenda for negotiations, Hekmatyar stated that the members of the aforementioned council should be elected by the people and that this council should be the final authority for making decisions on important national issues.

He added that this council should also establish a new constitution for the country and determine the shape of the future system.

Hekmatyar emphasized: Power must be transferred from the Islamic Emirate peacefully and without delay to the future legal government that will be established by the new constitution.
