The new Prime Minister of Iraq, who visited the Islamic Republic of Iran on his first foreign trip, in a press conference with the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated that the security of the two countries is inseparable from each other and is considered a part of the security of the entire region. The Iraqi government is committed to strictly implementing the constitution and not allowing any group or party to use Iraqi lands to harm and disrupt the security of any other country.

After the bilateral negotiations, in a joint press conference with Al-Sudani, he described the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq as having deep and historical roots and arising from the common beliefs of the two nations and said: the peak of these relations was in the glorious ceremony of Arbaeen Hosseini and hosting The greatness of the government and nation of Iraq has been manifested by the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (a.s.), especially the Iranian pilgrims, which deserves sincere appreciation and thanks.
 
He stated that Mr. Al-Sudani's inauguration as the Prime Minister of Iraq was the result of the agreement and understanding of the various political groups of this country, and expressed his hope that the result of the work of the new Iraqi government would be a different service for the Iraqi nation and more companionship and cooperation with the neighboring countries.
 
Ayatollah Raisi further stated: Fortunately, today Iran and Iraq have very good and close cooperation in a wide range of political, economic, security, social, cultural, scientific and technological issues, and we hope that this cooperation will improve in the new period.
 
The President of Iran emphasized security, peace and stability in the region by the two countries and stated: From this point of view, the fight against terrorist groups, organized crimes, drugs and any danger that threatens the region is agreed and emphasized by the two countries.
 
He added: Security, peace and stability in the region must be provided by the countries of the region, and the presence of foreigners does not create security in any way, but is the cause of many problems for the region.
 
Ayatollah Raisi pointed out that just as the presence of the Americans did not bring security in Afghanistan, it will not bring security in other parts of the region, and emphasized: "Definitely, the withdrawal of the Americans from the region will lead to an increase in peace, stability and security in our region."
 
In another part of his speech at the joint press meeting with the Prime Minister of Iraq, he considered Al-Sudani's presence in Iran as a turning point in the relations between the two countries and stated: Our negotiations are a big step towards improving relations and also advancing issues between the two countries, including commercial issues and it will be economic, monetary and banking and export of electricity and gas.
 
Al-Sudani, the new Prime Minister of Iraq, appreciated the invitation of the President of Iran to visit Tehran and said: Today we are in Tehran to discuss bilateral economic, political and security relations and the latest international developments.
 
Stating that Iraq sees its security with Iran as complementary and in a single form, he added: The security of the two countries is inseparable from each other and is considered a part of the security of the entire region. The Iraqi government is committed to strictly implementing the constitution and not allowing any group or party to use Iraqi lands to harm and disrupt the security of any other party.
 
Minister of Iraq stated: We follow this policy in our diplomatic relations in order to have a balanced policy with friendly and brotherly countries based on the principle of mutual respect. and not to interfere in other internal affairs and we will not allow any group to harm the security of other countries from the territory of Iraq.
 
He clarified: The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iraq is also present in this trip and will discuss security issues with his counterpart in order to reach an understanding on the working mechanism and field cooperation in this field and prevent any tension.
 
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Iraq and the accompanying delegation met and talked with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran this Tuesday evening.
 
Following the free activities of terrorist groups against this country in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, the Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly attacked areas in this region with rocket attacks in relation to these activities and their role in the recent unrest of this country, and regarding the continuation of these adventures of the opposing currents with Iran has warned in this area.
