The security situation of Afghanistan will be reviewed in the meeting of national security advisers of India and Central Asian countries
The national security advisors of India and Central Asian countries will discuss and exchange opinions regarding the security situation of Afghanistan and improving relations with Central Asian countries during a meeting in New Delhi yesterday (December 6).
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The national security advisers of India and Central Asian countries are scheduled to hold a meeting today Tuesday (December 6) regarding Afghanistan's security situation, terrorism and improving relations with Central Asian countries.

This is a one-day meeting at the level of national security advisers, which will be held after the first summit meeting in January between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

These developments appear to reflect India's growing engagement with Central Asia, which New Delhi considers part of its wider neighborhood.

Referring to the Islamic Emirate's dominance over Afghanistan, an Indian official said: Afghanistan's security situation and its evolving dynamics will be discussed in the talks. India and the countries of Central Asia have common interests in the peace and security of the region.

According to Hindustan Times newspaper, this meeting will not be limited only to the issue of terrorism. India wants to prevent instability and spread of insecurity in Afghanistan with the help of neighboring countries.

A source told the newspaper that a wide channel of communication and exchange of intelligence information about Afghanistan has been opened between India and the countries of Central Asia.

Central Asian countries share land borders with Afghanistan, and the tactics and techniques used by various terrorist groups, including their actions in cyber space, are common concerns between India and Central Asia.

Also, improving relations with Central Asian countries, including the importance of Chabahar port, is also on the agenda of this meeting.

In their first summit meeting in January, India and Central Asian countries decided to establish a joint working group for cooperation on Afghanistan.

There are concerns about the spread of terrorism from Afghanistan to neighboring countries, while the authorities of the Islamic Emirate do not consider Afghanistan a threat to other countries and say that Afghanistan's soil will not be used against other countries.
