India's National Security Adviser says that threats from terrorist groups in the region are worrying but Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, rejected this claim and said that Afghanistan is not a threat to other countries.

 Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Ajit Doval, India's National Security Adviser, has recently said that threats from terrorist groups in the region, including Afghanistan, are a big concern for everyone.
 
Mr. Doval said: "The fight against terrorism and its financial support should be the common goal of all of us. We also ask all the member states of the United Nations to assume their responsibility to fight terrorism and observe the existing conventions in this regard and stop supporting those people and groups who are engaged in terrorist activities."
 
The national security advisors of India and Central Asian countries discussed and exchanged views on the security situation of Afghanistan and improving relations with Central Asian countries during a meeting in New Delhi yesterday (December 6).
 
Representatives and national security advisers of South Asian countries including Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan participated in the meeting held in New Delhi.
 
The Indian media quoted the officials of this country and wrote that the purpose of this meeting is to review the security situation of Afghanistan, to fight against the spread of terrorism from Afghanistan and all kinds of extremism and its threats, and to improve the relations between India and the countries of Central Asia.
 
But Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, rejected this claim and said that Afghanistan is not a threat to other countries. He said that they are committed that Afghanistan's soil will not be used against other countries.
 
Nasrullah Mahmudzadeh, National Security Adviser of Tajikistan at the meeting in New Delhi, called the situation in Afghanistan complicated and added that the destructive extremism of Central Asia is growing.
 
Marat Iman Kolov, National Security Advisor of Kyrgyzstan, also said that Central Asia is facing the threat of extremism and drug trafficking.
 
Referring to the current situation in Afghanistan, he said that this situation has affected the stability and security of South Asia.
 
Although there was a lot of discussion in this meeting about the elimination of terrorist threats in Afghanistan, in addition, Viktor Mahmoudov, National Security Adviser of Uzbekistan, said that Afghanistan should not be isolated, because according to him, there are now strategic possibilities and opportunities to achieve peace. It exists in Afghanistan.
 
He added: "Afghanistan should not be allowed to face an economic, social and humanitarian crisis."
 
The meeting of the representatives of the Central Asian countries was held in India while Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan, emphasized and added on his Twitter account the political dialogue between the Afghans after meeting with the Indian officials. Afghans should take the leadership of this initiative.
 
Mr. West also met with Abdullah Abdullah, the former head of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council and said that both of them emphasized on starting intra-Afghan talks as soon as possible.
