461 Children with Heart Perforation Received Treatment
Facilities for the treatment of children with hearth perforation were discussed with officials Afghan Red Crescent Society and officials of Ministry of Public Health.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Both administrations the Ministry of Public Health and Afghan Red Crescent Society signed a memorandum of understanding, to work jointly to provide better treatment services for hearth perforation in the country in Afghanistan, according to officials.

The head of ARCS Mawlavi Matiul Haq Khalis during a meeting said that at the current year, the organization has been able to provide medical treatment to 461 children with heart perforation inside and outside the country.

The cost of treatment for each patient is from 750 up to 2,350 US dollars according to the severity of the disease, which is paid by the Afghan Red Crescent, he added.

In addition, the Afghan Red Crescent Society has taken care of 300 mentally ill patients in Kandahar he said.

According to him, the ARCS plans to build a well-equipped hospital, to address people’s problems.

Initially, providing all the equipment and facilities of the hospital will be from the budget of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, which will be supported by donors and organizations in the future, he added.
