Haqqani: The United Nations should deal with the problems of Afghan refugees
Khalil al-Rahman Haqqani, Acting Minister of Migrants and Returnees Affairs, in the "coordination meeting between the central and provincial units of the Ministry of Migrants Affairs" asked all aid organizations, especially the United Nations, to deal with the problems of Afghan migrants.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: A coordination meeting between the central and provincial units of the Ministry of Refugees and Returnees Affairs, with the participation of the leadership of this ministry, national and international institutions, was held in Kabul today, Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
 
Khalil al-Rahman Haqqani, Acting Minister of Migrants and Returnees Affairs, said: We ask all aid organizations, especially the United Nations, to deal with the problems of migrants alongside us.
 
Acting Minister of Immigrant Affairs added that Afghan immigrants in neighboring countries are deprived of the right to education and health, and that education should be provided for these immigrants.
 
Khalil al-Rahman Haqqani said that with the arrival of the Islamic Emirate in the country of war, administrative corruption and most of the problems have been solved.
 
He asked the officials of the Ministry of Immigrants and Returnees to distribute the aid to the internally displaced in a transparent manner.
 
Referring to the imprisonment of more than two thousand illegal Afghan immigrants by the Pakistani government, he said: We ask the neighboring countries to release the illegal Afghan immigrants who have been imprisoned.
 
On the other hand, Mohammad Ajmal, the senior program manager of the Ministry of Immigrant Affairs, said: The Ministry signs memorandums of understanding with aid organizations that work in the field of immigrants in order to solve the problems of immigrants and internally displaced persons.
 
He added that more than one million citizens of the country have returned to the country in the last one and a half years and there were more than two million internally displaced people.
 
Mohammad Ajmal added that the directorates of immigrants in the country's provinces have the duty to supervise the implementation of development projects for internally displaced people.
 
Abdul Moqim Afghan, the head of the policy and planning department of the Ministry of Immigrants, said: This ministry has considered separate plans and policies to better solve the problems of internally displaced persons and immigrants in other countries.
 
He stated that from now on, illegal immigration to other countries will be seriously prevented, and the Ministry of Migration requests all citizens abroad to return to their land, because the situation in their country has improved.
 
He stated that Afghan citizens face social and economic problems by migrating to other countries.
 
He demanded that the identification teams of the Ministry of Migration provide assistance to the beneficiaries in a transparent manner and forbade the employees from dealing with the beneficiaries in a tasteful manner.
 
This is despite the fact that in recent days, more than two thousand Afghan immigrants have been arrested and imprisoned by the Pakistani police in that country for not having residence documents.
