Holding a competitive public health exam in Herat; 55% of participants are women
The competitive exams of the Herat seminary hospital were contested with the participation of 1,320 people.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Dr. Mohammad Asif Kabir, Deputy Public Health of Herat, says: 55% of those who participated in this competitive exam today are women and the rest are men.
 
He added: This exam is taken in one day and in two hours separately for men and women.
 
Dr. Kabir also added: Participants compete in midwifery and nursing posts, and 44 of them will be selected in these posts.
 
The deputy of Herat Public Health further emphasized: In these two batches, four of the participants will be admitted to the field of midwifery and 40 others will be admitted to the field of nursing.
 
Dr. Kabir noted: Currently, there is no shortage of midwives and nurses in the districts, but it would be better if the number of midwives and nurses in the districts increases.
 
Meanwhile, Samia, one of the participants in this exam, says: He has worked hard, but the number of participants is very high and the number of vacancies is low.
 
Participants in this competitive exam asked the government to provide more job opportunities for young people, especially women.
 
The number of educated youth in the country is increasing, but the government provides less work.
