Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Officials in the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Emirate say that the smuggling of drugs from Afghanistan to the outside of the country has decreased significantly compared to previous years.

The officials of the Anti-Narcotics Ministry add that now drugs are being smuggled out of a small number of provinces.

According to the head of the anti-narcotics office, nearly four and a half thousand people have been arrested in connection with drug trafficking.

Hasibullah Ahmadi, the head of the Office of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, said: "After the conquest of the country, the Islamic Emirate is paying special attention to this sector, and compared to the past, drug trafficking has decreased."

At the same time, Indian media have reported that the country's anti-narcotics department has arrested sixteen people, including two Afghan citizens, on charges of processing heroin in Punjab state.

In this regard, Gianishwar Singh, deputy director of the anti-narcotics department of the Indian state of Punjab, said: In the investigation, we destroyed two heroin production factories in Ludhiana, which were managed by two Afghan citizens. These two Afghan citizens were also arrested. The chain of this network is available in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Dubai as well as in many states of India.

On the other hand, a number of experts believe that in order to prevent drug smuggling abroad, the caretaker government should activate the detection system.

In this regard, Mahmood Hanif Alokozay, an expert on political issues, says that it may be an organized or organized crime ring or an international mafia, which includes Pakistanis, Indians, and a number of Afghans.

Based on the statistics of the Ministry of Anti-Narcotics, more than three and a half thousand operations have been launched to destroy poppy fields and 134 drug production houses have been destroyed.
