Zamir Kabulov, Russia's special representative for Afghanistan affairs, says that Russia is interested in participating in the project if the partners of the TAPI project, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, request it.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Zamir Kabulov, Russia's special representative for Afghanistan affairs, in an interview with Russian TV 24, considers the security of this project in Afghanistan to be one of the most important issues of the Turkmenistan gas pipeline project and says that other conditions are necessary for the realization of this project. The project is feasible.
 
Zamir Kabulov adds that the partners of this project, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, if they request, Russia will participate in this project.
 
Mr. Kabulov says that the President of Russia has shown his readiness to cooperate in this process a few years ago, and of course we are interested in cooperation in the Asian economic sector.
 
At the same time, the Economic Vice-Chancellor of the Prime Minister's Office says in a newsletter that the caretaker government guarantees the security of large projects, including the TAPI project.
 
The Economic Vice-Chancellor continues to ensure that there is currently adequate security and opportunity to implement infrastructure projects.
 
Abdurrahman Habib, the spokesman of the Ministry of Economy, says: TAPI is one of the important economic projects for our country, and its implementation, in addition to improving political interactions and regional cooperation, will provide the required gas energy and provide the country's gas mines, providing direct employment. It will provide more than ten thousand people and thousands of indirect jobs for our compatriots during construction and operation.
 
On the other hand, economic experts say that the entry of new countries into the TAPI project requires global understanding and agreement, especially from the Asian Development Bank and member countries.
 
The TAPI project starts from Turkmenistan and reaches India by passing through the territory of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Afghanistan will earn more than 400 million dollars annually, along with providing employment to thousands of people.
 
The TAPI Summit was held for the first time in December 2010, in the city of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. This project is intended to transfer gas from Central Asia to South Asia, the total length of this gas pipe will be 1,814 km and it will have the capacity to transfer 33 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
 
According to the plan of this project, 214 km of this pipe will be in Turkmenistan, 774 km in Afghanistan and 826 km in Pakistan, and then it will end in India.
 
  This project is considered one of the largest energy supply projects in the world; but its practical work has been stopped in the last 12 years due to various reasons, including insecurity in the transmission route and some commercial challenges.
