The polio vaccination campaign will start tomorrow (Monday, January 23, 2023) in 13 provinces of Afghanistan, which is the first vaccination campaign this year.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The polio vaccine campaign will start tomorrow (Monday, January 23, 2023) in 13 provinces.
 
This is the first vaccination campaign this year and it is supposed to continue until Thursday of this week in eastern, southern and western provinces.
 
Dr. Abdul Waheed Rahmani, head of Herat's public health department, said that 277,000 children under the age of five will receive vaccinations in this campaign.
 
In the past, the vaccination campaign was not implemented in some provinces, including remote districts of the country, due to the war.
 
Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only countries that have not succeeded in completely eradicating polio.
 
Last year, two positive polio cases were reported in Afghanistan.
