Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the head of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of the former government, met with Hassan Kazemi Qomi, head of the political delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, at his home in Kabul yesterday evening (January 24).
In this meeting, the head of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of the previous government congratulated Hassan Kazemi Qomi on his new position and expressed his gratitude for the humanitarian assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the people of Afghanistan.
The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran has said that, considering the historical and cultural commonalities, he is trying to strengthen the relations between the two neighboring countries based on mutual interests.
This is despite the fact that Qomi had previously met with Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and discussed the joint cooperation between the two countries.
It should be noted that Hassan Kazemi Qomi was appointed as the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Afghanistan, replacing Bahadur Aminian.
