Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Ministry of Defense of Spain announced on Wednesday night (January 25), that one person was killed and 4 others were seriously injured in an attack by a person with a sword on a church in the southern port of Al-Khisiras.
The attacker is in police custody. But the ministry has not released any information about the identity of the attacker.
The Spanish Ministry of Defense said; the attack took place inside the church of San Isidro, after which the pastor of the church, Antonio Rodríguez, was seriously injured, then the attacker attacked and killed one of the church servants, Diego Valencia, outside the church building.
The National Court of Spain announced that a judge has started an investigation into the possibility of the attack being a terrorist attack.
