The visit of a high-ranking Sudanese official to Israel

6 Feb 2023 - 9:28

"Israel Elyum" newspaper announced that a high-ranking Sudanese official will travel to the occupied territories in the coming days in order to continue the necessary preparations for signing the agreement to normalize relations with the Zionist regime.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Yesterday, Sunday (February 5), the newspaper "Israel Ilyum" announced that a high-ranking Sudanese official will go to Israel in the coming days in order to continue the necessary preparations for signing the agreement on the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime. He will travel to the occupied territories.

This media announced that this Sudanese official will meet with Eli Cohen, Foreign Minister of the Cabinet of Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, and several other Zionist officials.

The newspaper also reported that the purpose of the Sudanese official's visit to the occupied territories is to strengthen relations before the signing of the reconciliation agreement and also to continue preparations for mutual recognition after the formation of a civilian government in Sudan.

This trip is carried out while "Eli Cohen" arrived in Khartoum last Thursday at the head of a delegation and met and talked with the head of Sudan's ruling council.

After returning from Sudan, the foreign minister of the Zionist regime claimed that this regime has reached an agreement with Khartoum to normalize relations.

In response to the recent visit of the foreign minister of the Zionist regime to this country and Khartoum's efforts to compromise with this regime, Sudanese political parties and groups announced that they will remain supporters of the Palestinian nation and their cause.

At the same time as the ongoing negotiations with the Sudanese side, a political source announced that the Zionist regime at this stage is seeking to reach agreements to normalize relations with other countries, including Mauritania and Indonesia.

This source emphasized that in this regard, there are 7 or 8 Arab and Islamic countries that may join the Abraham Accords.

In October 2020, Sudan announced its will to recognize the Zionist regime and normalize relations with it within the framework of agreements with the administration of former US President Donald Trump, although the removal of this country's name from Washington's blacklist of countries that support terrorism is a condition for moving forward.

Khartoum joining the Abraham Accords is not a new issue; because this issue was mentioned in a telephone conversation between former US President Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sudanese army commander Abdul Fattah al-Barhan in October 2020.
