9 Feb 2023 - 10:31

At the fifth meeting of the secretaries of the Security Council of the countries of the region in Moscow, the President of Russia stated that the terrorist threat has intensified after the withdrawal of America from Afghanistan and said that the issue of Afghanistan has always been important for Russia and now its importance has doubled.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: According to Sputnik, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in this meeting on Wednesday, February 9, that "international terrorist organizations" have become more active after America's withdrawal from Afghanistan, and al-Qaeda has also become active in Afghanistan. It is now strengthening its capacities.

The President of Russia has added that drug trade is increasing and 80% of the world's drugs originate from Afghanistan.

Vladimir Putin has stated: The conflicts that occur in other regions of the world, including Ukraine, do not reduce the importance of the situation in Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Putin has stated that four million people in Afghanistan are in urgent need of humanitarian aid.

He added that the issue of Afghanistan has always been important for Russia and now its importance has doubled.

Nikolai Patrushev, the secretary of the Russian Security Council, also said in this meeting that the US is trying to recover frozen funds.
He has plundered Afghanistan.

This is despite the fact that a court in the United States rejected the payment of compensation from the frozen assets of Afghanistan to the survivors of the September 11 attacks, but the Secretary of the Russian Security Council said that the Westerners are trying to pay part of this money as compensation to the American citizens.

On the other hand, Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, referring to the continuous effort of the United States to turn Afghanistan into a platform for promoting insecurity and terrorism, said: "Insecurity, which has always been the bane of Afghans, should not be allowed to be transformed by extra-regional interventions." It will be a common disaster for all the people of the region.
