Announcing Afghanistan's readiness to send relief teams to Turkey

In a phone call with his Turkish counterpart, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the Afghan Embassy in Ankara has sent a team to help the victims of the earthquake and that more medical teams are ready to help if needed.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Yesterday (Friday, February 10), the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a newsletter saying that Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, had a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. He talked about the loss of life and property of the recent strong earthquake in Turkey.
 
At the beginning, Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, once again expressed his deep condolences to the Turkish Foreign Minister on behalf of the people and government of Afghanistan and considered himself a partner in this great sadness with the Turkish brothers and sisters.
 
Muttaqi also said that the Islamic Emirate has announced assistance to the Turkish nation within the limits of its capabilities, and if it wants, rescue teams and medical emergency aid are ready to help and rescue.
 
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs added that the Afghan embassy has also sent a team to help the earthquake site.
 
The Turkish Foreign Minister thanked Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, for his phone call and expressing his condolences, and called the recent earthquake one of the most severe earthquakes in the history of Turkey, which has affected nearly 13 million people in ten provinces.
 
While thanking for the help, the Turkish Foreign Minister added that Afghans and Turks have been partners throughout history and if help is needed, we will ask for help from our Afghan brothers.
 
Meanwhile, in his latest statement, the President of Turkey announced the number of earthquake victims across Turkey as 19,388 and the injured as 77,711, and the number of victims of the Syrian earthquake reached 3,507 and the injured reached more than 7,000.
