Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Stanekzai added: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan wants good cultural and economic relations with all countries in the region, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He pointed out that the trade exchange between Afghanistan and Iran has exceeded one billion dollars in the past year and added that we want to increase this figure in the coming years.
Thanking the Islamic Republic of Iran for maintaining its embassy in Afghanistan for more than a year and continuing strong diplomatic relations for more than a century, he stated that the two countries can solve their economic problems through bilateral cooperation.
Stanekzai also asked the Islamic Republic of Iran to cooperate with the government of Afghanistan in the area of alternative drug cultivation and to increase the issuance of visas to prevent illegal immigration and to provide more ease of life for Afghan immigrants living in Iran.
In his remarks, he once again assured the countries of the region that Afghanistan's soil will not be used against any country.

Hassan Kazemi Qomi added that the Islamic Republic of Iran hosts 6 million Afghan immigrants, including 600,000 Afghan students who have the same conditions as Iranian students and are currently studying in Iran.
The special representative of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan added that the common will of the two countries to strengthen economic relations, improve the level of trade exchanges, efforts to maintain stability and security, fight against terrorism and oppose the presence of invaders and foreign interference are among the issues that facilitate mutual cooperation.
Referring to the economic issues between the two countries, he said that last year the volume of trade relations between the two countries was about 1.5 billion US dollars, and we hope that it will reach 3 billion dollars.
