Fifty acres of land in Laghman province were cleared of poppy cultivation
In continuation of the clearing of poppy cultivation in many provinces of the country, the press office of the police commander of Laghman province says that 50 acres of land in Alishang district of this province has recently been cleared of poppy cultivation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Laghman Province Police Command has tweeted that 50 acres of land has been cleared from poppy cultivation in Alishang district of this province.
 
The police headquarters of Laghman province added that this amount of land was in the villages of Shamieh, Neli and Shenagol of Alishang district, which was cleared by the anti-narcotics agents of Laghman province.
 
Previously, the anti-narcotics police have cleared thousands of acres of land from poppy cultivation in different provinces of the country.
 
Meanwhile, in the last few days, the anti-narcotics police have cleared 82 acres of land in the eastern zone of the country from poppy cultivation.
 
It should be remembered that most of the remote parts of the eastern provinces of the country were cultivated with poppy during the previous government.
