21 Mar 2023 - 11:42

Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says that 190 Afghan prisoners have been released from the prisons of Pakistan's Sindh province and sent to the country.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate announces the release of 190 Afghan prisoners from the prisons of Pakistan's Sindh province.

Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, the spokesman of the ministry, said on Monday (March 20) that these people were sent to Afghanistan as a result of the efforts of the Afghan consulate in Karachi and the country's embassy in Islamabad and at the expense of the government of the Islamic Emirate.

He also said that so far 1893 Afghan prisoners have been released from Pakistani prisons.

This is despite the fact that yesterday, a number of Afghan refugees in Pakistan protested against their fate in Islamabad.

Those who have formed a group under the name "SAVE US", on Monday, in the 9-article resolution of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, human rights organizations and countries of the world, want to solve their problems regarding the provision of housing, the extension of Pakistani visas and the context of their transfer to other countries.

The protestors say that most of them are women and children, and if international organizations do not listen to their voices, they will set up a sit-in tent in front of the UN Refugee Office in Islamabad.
