Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: CCTV images released on Tuesday, 1 Hamal, show "Irvo Otieno", a 28-year-old immigrant of Kenyan descent, after suffering a mental health crisis on March 6. He was killed by police and hospital staff in Henrico County, Virginia.
According to the AFP news agency, the victim was beaten and killed by ten American police forces in a violent manner.
A musician and artist, Otieno immigrated to the United States from Kenya with his family at the age of four and lived and studied there for 24 years.
Recent statistics from the "Police Violence Monitor" group, a non-profit organization, show that the American police killed 1,176 people in 2022.
Earlier on January 7th, Tyree Nichols, a 29-year-old black citizen, was arrested for reckless driving and severely beaten by police forces in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He died after being taken to the hospital.
