The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) says that following the earthquake on Tuesday night, March 21 in different provinces of Afghanistan, 5 people died and 65 others were injured, but the Ministry of Public Health put the death toll of this earthquake at 4. and announced 70 wounded.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid "Ocha" announced this Wednesday, March 22 and added this statistic: About 665 residential houses were also damaged or destroyed in last night's earthquake in several provinces. .

 
These houses were damaged or destroyed in the provinces of Badakhshan, Bamyan, Panjshir, Parwan, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Samangan and Takhar.
 
Ucha added that assessment and response teams have been deployed to provide immediate assistance to the affected families.
 
On the other hand, Bilal Karimi, the deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, quoted the Ministry of Public Health as saying that four people died and 70 others were injured in the earthquake last night.
 
Meanwhile, local officials in Badakhshan and Takhar provinces told Ava reporter that due to Madhesh earthquake last night, Tuesday, more than 70 houses were destroyed in the districts of these two provinces.
 
Moazuddin Ahmadi, head of information and culture of Badakhshan Province, told Ava reporter that these residential houses in Jarm, Karan and Manjan, Keshm, Yavan and some other parts of Badakhshan districts were partially destroyed.
 
According to him, the number of casualties and damages caused by the earthquake is changing and it is likely that the people of Badakhshan suffered more than what was mentioned due to the earthquake last night, the details of which will be shared with the media later.
 
Also, Abdul Qahar Ahmadi, head of public health in Takhar, told Ava that as a result of last night's earthquake, 21 houses were destroyed in Kulfgan district.
 
Around 9:20 on Tuesday night, a relatively strong earthquake shook parts of the country, including Kabul and the northern and northeastern provinces. This earthquake was felt in Central Asian countries as well as South Asia (Pakistan and India).
 
The American Seismological Center has announced that the epicenter of this earthquake was in Jaram district of Badakhshan Province, its magnitude was 6.5 degrees on the Richter scale and its depth was 187 kilometers from the ground.
