Afghanistan is a New Transit Route to Turkmenistan Gas
An international company has begun officially exporting natural gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan via Afghanistan. According to provincial authorities of Kandahar.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Mohammad Yunus Mohmand, the head of the country’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said the gas transfer from Turkmenistan to Pakistan via Afghanistan is a crucial milestone in economic development.

Previously, Turkmenistan’s gas was transferred to Pakistan via Iran; however, since the arrival of the de facto administration, now transferring cargo is saved via Afghanistan to South Asia, he said.

“This year, our exports are approximately $1,868 million, which shows a significant increase. I sincerely thank the Supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate, Hebatullah Akhundzadah, who made the environment favourable for all businessmen and investors and considered them the economic army of Afghanistan,” he added.

According to officials, the initial shipment included 50 Gas tankers that entered Pakistan through Kandahar’s Spin Boldak port.

Geographically Afghanistan is connecting Central Asia and South Asia, which can play a significant role in regional connectivity, and the transfer of goods and products has the potential to improve the country’s economy.
