The Zionist regime should refrain from tension-causing measures against the Palestinians
Following the testimony of a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, the European Union foreign policy official asked the Israeli Foreign Minister to stop unilateral actions that lead to an increase in tension with the Palestinians.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Joseph Borrell" in charge of the foreign policy of the European Union yesterday (Tuesday) during his first meeting with "Eli Cohen" the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Zionist regime in "Brussels", the capital of Belgium, requested Tel Aviv to stop "unilateral actions" against the Palestinians that would likely lead to further escalation of tensions in the Palestinian territories.

The "Arab News" base reported in this regard, just hours after the martyrdom of "Khidr Adnan" (44 years old), a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, in the custody of the Zionists, the tanks of the Zionist regime opened fire towards the Palestinian territory, and the Palestinian resistance groups also fired from Gaza. They responded to the aggression of the Zionist regime with rockets.

Khizr Adnan was one of the senior members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, who went on a hunger strike in protest against the illegal detention by the occupation forces and was eventually martyred.

The Palestinian resistance had repeatedly warned the occupiers about the deterioration of his physical condition. He was taken to the hospital last week due to his physical condition worsening. But the Zionist regime did not allow any of the lawyers, doctors or legal parties to contact him and inform about his health condition. Khizr Adnan, a Palestinian prisoner, finally died yesterday (Tuesday, 12 thor 1402) after enduring 86 days of strike and was martyred.

After the meeting between Borrell and Cohen in Brussels, the European Union's foreign service announced in a statement: "Borrell responded to the EU's request to Israel to stop unilateral actions that exacerbate the high level of tensions and the possibility of a just and lasting peace in the future based on a two-state solution.

The statement continued: "He also condemned the recent attacks against Israelis and emphasized the EU's commitment to Israel's right to defend itself, but warned that any response must be consistent with international law."

As stated in the statement, the EU foreign policy chief "at the same time expressed concern about the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory."

According to this report, Borrell told Cohen that the European Union wants to deepen relations with the Zionist regime and said that he hoped for another meeting between the Council of the European Union and the Zionist regime.

He also requested the Foreign Minister of the Zionist regime to "participate" in the cooperation of the European Union with Saudi Arabia, the member states of the Arab League and the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf to resume the so-called peace process with the Zionist regime.

Yesterday, after the publication of the news of Adnan's martyrdom, media sources reported that three rockets were fired at the Zionist settlements in the Gaza Strip.

The spokesman of the Zionist army also announced the sounding of missile warning sirens in the Zionist settlements around the Gaza Strip and confirmed the news reports that three rockets were fired at these settlements.

The Israeli army claimed that these rockets did not activate the Iron Dome.

On the other hand, "Hazem Qassem", the spokesman of the Hamas resistance movement, also announced: "This crime is a cold-blooded execution that was carried out by the [Zionist regime] prisons organization against the prisoner of the martyr Khizr Adnan." The Palestinian people have shown us that this crime cannot be passed without a similar response.
