Russia: The plan to assassinate the leader of Crimea was thwarted
The Russian Federal Security Service announced that the plan of the military intelligence network of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to assassinate the leader of Crimea and key Russian officials was foiled.

According to the report of the Russian network (Rashatody), after the Russian security services arrested seven terrorists of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine who planned to assassinate Aksyonov and other Russian leaders, Aksyonov stated: "Ukraine is a terrorist country.
 
The leader of Crimea expressed gratitude to the Russian federal security services for neutralizing the attacks against Crimea and stated that the agents behind this terrorist plot will be identified and punished.
 
On the other hand, according to Sputnik news agency, the Federal Security Service of Russia reported in a statement about this: "The Federal Security Organization neutralized the activity of the intelligence networks of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, which intended to carry out terrorist acts in the Republic of Crimea, which these actions It included the terrorist act against Aksyonov, Konstantinov, the speaker of the parliament and the mayor of Yalta and the transportation infrastructure of the peninsula.
 
Sevastopol on the Crimean Peninsula was annexed to Russia in the 2014 referendum. Ukraine considers the annexation of this region to Russia illegal and since the beginning of Russian military operations in this country, it has repeatedly targeted the Crimean Peninsula, which according to the Russians, most of these attacks were repelled by Russian defense.
