The National for Seismology (NCS) said that, an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 jolted Afghanistan’s Kabul.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, The earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred at 7:14 am local time today with a depth of 66 Km in Kabul, Afghanistan.

“Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.3, Occurred on 14-05-2023, 08:14:29 IST, Lat: 33.34 & Long: 69.94, Depth: 60 Km, Location: 151 km SSE of Kabul, Afghanistan,” the Indian National Center for Seismology (NCS) tweeted.

So far, no casualties have been reported; further details are awaited. Earlier, the NCS also reported an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 struck at a depth of 99 Km southwest of Faizabad capital city of Badakhshan province, Afghanistan, on Thursday.

The earthquake, measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale, shook the Afghan capital city of Faizabad on Thursday, NCS said.

According to the NCS, the earthquake took place on Thursday at 4:51 am local time at a depth of 172 Km, Tweeted NCS “Earthquake of Magnitude: 4.5, Occurred on 11-05-2023, 05:51:03 IST, Lat: 36.33 & Long: 69.98, Depth: 172 Km, Location: 99km SSW of Fayzabad, Afghanistan.”

Afghanistan is most vulnerable to natural disasters, including earthquakes, landslides, avalanches, heavy rain and flooding.

The frequent earthquake occurring in the north and northeast of the country, including Kabul capital city, requires additional caution and measures to reduce the severity of the disaster in the country.
