The United Nations Development Office announced that with financial support from Japan and the Humanitarian Fund, it has supported 34,000 small businesses, 80% of which are led by women, throughout Afghanistan.

Afghan Voice Agency (AWA) - Kabul: The United Nations Development Office tweeted today (Wednesday, 27th April): "Shahzia has opened a small shop to provide products for local women who are unable to find them in the market." It will make life easier and help the local economy.
 
This office said that 34,000 small businesses have been set up with the financial support of Japan and the United Nations Humanitarian Fund.
 
The United Nations Development Office has not indicated the cost of this support and the timing of its delivery.
