The end of the border conflict between the Iran and Afghan border guards in Nimroz/ holding a meeting of the border guards of the two countries
Tasnim news agency announced the end of the conflict between the border guard forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the Kang district of Nimroz province and reported that the border guard officials of Iran and Afghanistan are currently in a meeting to investigate the reasons for the tension.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: According to the report of local sources to some media, this conflict started around 12:00 noon today, Saturday, 6th of June in Makki area of Kong district of Nimroz province between Islamic Emirate forces and Iranian border guards.
 
Iran's Tasnim News Agency had also reported that the field investigation by the correspondent of this media also indicates the occurrence of a conflict between Iranian border guards at the Nimroz border and a number of forces of the Islamic Emirate stationed at the border of Afghanistan.
 
This news agency has written in new details: Light and semi-light weapons and artillery were used in this conflict, however, the news that Iranian forces used missiles is completely false.
 
On the other hand, the news that Zaranj airfield was targeted by Iranian forces has also been denied and clashes have taken place in the same areas around the villages of Sasoli, Hatem and Makki.
 
According to this report, after the start of the conflicts, correspondence and contacts are established between the Iranian Embassy in Afghanistan and the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Emirate.
Accordingly, these conflicts have ended and both sides are investigating the cause of this tension.
 
So far, the cause of this conflict has not yet been determined and the official authorities of the two countries have not published any details.
 
This is despite the fact that in the month of Thor, the border forces of the two countries have clashed with each other twice.
 
This conflict took place while Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran's presidential special representative for Afghanistan and head of the country's embassy in Kabul, in the midst of tensions between the two countries over the issue of Iran's water rights from the Helmand/Hirmand river, this morning with Amir Khan Motaghi. Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate has met and discussed. In this meeting, the two sides emphasized on solving the existing differences through diplomacy and dialogue.
