Health Sector is an Urgent Need in Afghanistan :Kabir
Acting Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, in a meeting with Mawlavi Abdul Salaam, stressed the need for the standardization of the health sector in the country.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Acting Prime Minister, Mawlavi Kabir met Saturday Dr. Qalandar Ebad, Acting Minister of Public Health, in addition to a detailed discussion on the improvement of health affairs in the country, views exchanged on the strengthening and coordination between the center and the provinces for the resolution of the health sector, Arg said in a statement.
 
He also briefed on a new plan for improving health services in the country to Deputy PMs, added that necessary steps have been taken and will continue for standardization of the health sector.
 
Dr.Ebad said that private hospitals are continuously monitored and efforts have been made to prevent the import of low-quality medicine into the country.
 
For his part, Acting PM Kabir said that building a standard health sector in the country is an urgent need to reduce the number of our compatriots who travel abroad for treatment.
 
According to Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, there is a need to invest in the health sector, for which the ground has been prepared.
 
Meanwhile, Deputy PM for Administrative affairs, referring to the state of government hospitals, said, based on the budget allocated to this department, basic works will be accomplished in government hospitals this year.
 
The Ministry of Health should pay more attention to attracting support from organizations and foundations in this field, he added.
