A representative of a Russian company, in a meeting with Nooruddin Azizi, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate, has announced his interest in investing in the production of oil from the waste of Kabul city.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate published a newsletter announcing the meeting of Nooruddin Azizi, the head of the ministry, with a representative of a Russian company.
 
According to the information of the press office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this meeting, Mohammad Nasim Agha, the representative of one of the Russian companies, expressed his interest in the production of petroleum products from the waste of Kabul city, and about the capacity and amount of investment of that company to the supervisor. This ministry gave information.
 
Nooruddin Azizi welcomed the plan of this Russian company and said: The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan supports reasonable investments in the country and provides the necessary conditions for investors.
 
According to "National State Television", Abdul Salam Javad, the spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate, said that this company uses "German technology" in the production of oil from waste.
 
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Trade did not say anything about the specifications of the Russian company and the amount of investment of this company.
 
Currently, the accumulation of garbage is one of the main factors of pollution in Kabul, a city known as one of the most polluted cities in the world.
 
Earlier, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that waste management in Afghanistan remains a major challenge.
