Iran, Afghanistan to boost healthcare cooperation
Country’s Acting Public Health Minister, met with the Deputy Ambassador of Iran.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, A meeting concentrated discussion on mutually interesting issues including talks on the cancer treatment center in Kabul, the evolution of the hospital being built by Iran in Bamyan, and the health services center built for the treatment of diabetic patients in Nangarhar, according to a statement.

Dr. Ebad Minister of Public Health stressed the expansion of joint cooperation between the two countries in the sector of health services, the statement added.

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Public, Dr. Ebad discussed challenges to the lack of full implementation of Health Emergency Response (HER) project with representatives of UNICEF, the World Bank, health service organizations, and donors of health services.

Lack of medicines delivery to the health centers on time, lack of medicines, and non-availability of some medicines was the main topic of discussion with mentioned organizations, according to the Ministry.

Dr. Ebad termed it vital to deliver medicines to health centers on time and stressed that the challenges of health supply services under the HER project should be addressed as soon as possible.
