Technical employees of Afghanistan Railway Department are trained in Iran
Officials in Afghanistan Railway Department say that four technical employees of this department have been sent to Iran for training.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Sami Durrani, the spokesperson of Afghanistan Railway Department, told AVA reporter on Monday (June 5, 2023) that these employees went to the city this morning to receive practical training in the railway department, signaling and communication.
 
Durrani pointed out that the learnings and experiences of the mentioned employees will be used in the Khowaf-Herat railway after graduating from the short-term training course.
 
The spokesperson of the Afghanistan Railway Department also emphasized that the Afghanistan Railway Department is trying with all its might to launch more training programs to improve the capacity of its employees.
 
While the technical employees of the Afghanistan Railway Department are traveling to Iran for technical training, yesterday a Turkish iron smelting company announced that this company is ready to produce rails for Afghanistan in exchange for minerals.
 
Serkan Atamir, the head of the "Kardmir" Iron Smelting Company in Turkey, said during the visit of the head of the Afghanistan Railway Administration to this company that the provision of rails in exchange for minerals has been implemented in other countries and has a positive result.
 
In response to this proposal, Mullah Bakhtur Rahman Sharaft, the general director of the Afghanistan Railway Department, said that this proposal will be discussed in Kabul and if the Afghan government agrees, we will move forward.
