According to IRNA, referring to the importance of up-to-date management of the refugee population living in Iran, Mobini announced the implementation of the plan to improve the management of foreign nationals and its necessity for the Islamic Republic of Iran as a host country for mostly Afghan refugees.
 
The head of Iran's National Migration Organization has emphasized the necessity of developing infrastructure projects such as construction projects in the fields of education, health, treatment and livelihood, by reading the needs of the large population of refugees present in this country.
 
He added: "We are determined to reform the asylum system in the country in accordance with national capacities and international support, and as you know, the financial support of the offices of international and humanitarian organizations active in the field of refugees and displaced persons in the country is very small. There are also the cruel and unilateral sanctions of the United States of America and the support of Western governments for these sanctions. Unfortunately, these sanctions have left a very negative impact on the lives of foreigners, especially in the field of health and treatment.
 
Mobini reminded: Just when the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the main country, hosts a large population of Afghan refugees, it is in need of providing medical and health equipment and items in the field of diseases that cannot be accessed due to the cruel sanctions, unfortunately, we are witnessing not only action International organizations are not effective in neutralizing these sanctions, but every year the least amount of financial aid is allocated to Iran by international organizations, especially the UN offices.
 
He also pointed to some of the services provided by the Islamic Republic of Iran to the refugees in various fields, and added that the high cost of their consumption in various sectors such as health, treatment, education, energy, bread and public services is a big problem for this country. : If more financial support from the United Nations is not allocated to the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2024, and the discriminatory and dual view of the international community continues in dealing with the country of Iran and other countries in the field of hosting nationals, the world will witness a change in the policies of the Islamic Republic. The head of the National Migration Organization said in this meeting: The United Nations should pay more attention to the crisis of Afghan refugees and displaced people and put special care for their host society on its agenda. The United Nations must have a serious and all-round participation in sharing the burden and responsibility of supporting refugees and displaced persons, and should redouble efforts to establish stable security in Afghanistan and facilitate the voluntary return of refugees and displaced persons to their country.
 
Stefan Prizner, the UN coordinator in Iran, has appreciated and thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its generous hosting of refugees and providing them with services in the fields of education, health and treatment.
