Afghan women won 4 medals in international Kyokushin karate competitions

Afghan female athletes won one gold medal, two silver medals and one bronze medal in the Kyokushin Karate Asian Championships hosted by Iran's Khuzestan Province.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Asian Kyokushin Karate Tournament was held in Ahvaz city with the participation of 4 thousand athletes in two groups of men and women from 9 countries.
 
In this tournament, Afghanistan women's national team with 7 athletes under the leadership of Gholam Hossein Fuladi and coached by Master Seyyed Asadullah Saadati participated in both kata and committee divisions.
 
According to the coach of the national team, after two days of heavy competition, the Afghan national team was able to win 4 medals in this historic event.
 
In the committee (combat) section, Mrs. Marzieh Hosseini won the first place in the adult age group, and Mrs. Asma Mohammadi won the second place in the youth age group.

Also, in the Kata section, Ms. Ainaz Yaran took the third place in the junior age category, and Ms. Marzieh Hosseini took the third place in the adult age category.
 
It should be mentioned that Mr. Seyed Asadullah Saadati was the only Afghan referee in this round of Asian competitions.
