Five boxers from Afghanistan are competing with their rivals in the competition of this sport with the participation of 113 countries of the world, which is being held in Italy, to get a quota for the Paris Olympics.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The competition for the Paris Olympics quota in boxing was held from March 3rd to 11th, hosted by the city of "Bosto Arsizio" in Italy.
The International Olympic Committee, which oversees these competitions, has reported that 602 boxers from 113 countries have participated in this event, including four boxers from Afghanistan in the men's category and one boxer in the women's category, with Saber Azizi as the head coach.
Mohammad Mehdi Sohak in weight 57 kg, Shirzad Ahmed Azam in weight 63.5 kg, Suleiman Aslami in weight 80 kg and Abdul Qadir Ghafar in weight 92 kg are the four representatives of Afghanistan in the men's section, and Sadia Broumand is the only representative of Afghanistan in weight 50 kg.
Of course, all these boxers have been sent from outside Afghanistan in these competitions, and recently, Afghan boxers living in Europe were sent to several sports events.
Officials of the Afghanistan Boxing Federation have cited visa problems and lack of funds as the reason why none of the boxers in Afghanistan are participating in these events.
In this event yesterday, Suleiman Aslami, the representative of 80 kg weight from Afghanistan, entered the ring against his opponent from Belgium, but was defeated with a score of 5-0 and withdrew from the competition.
In the continuation of these competitions, Mehdi Sohak will compete with the winner of the Palestinian or Georgian boxers competition, Shirzad Ahmad Azam will compete with the winner of the Iraqi or Spanish boxers, and Abdul Qadir Ghafar will compete against one of his opponents from Turkmenistan or Venezuela, Sadia Broumand. He also enters the ring with his opponent from Denmark.
In the first world tournament for the Olympic quota, which is being held in Italy, four boxers in each weight category will win the quota for the Paris Olympics, and the second world tournament for the Olympic quota is scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, in May.
