22 Mar 2024 - 12:28

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) says that nearly 525,000 Afghan migrants have returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan through the Torkham and Spin Boldak crossings.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: On Thursday, the organization wrote in a post on the X channel that many returning Afghans left everything in Pakistan and returned to Afghanistan.

The International Organization for Migration added that Afghans returning from Pakistan need help.

It should be mentioned that Pakistan started the process of deporting Afghans without residency documents in November last year.

After the practical process of deporting Afghan immigrants from various states of Pakistan began, hundreds of thousands of immigrants were forcibly and voluntarily deported to Afghanistan during the past months.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is going to start the second phase of deportation and return of Afghan immigrants from that country.

Some Pakistani media recently reported that the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan has ordered the state government of Punjab to start the second phase of deporting immigrants holding Afghan citizenship cards on April 15th of this year.
