A court in Pakistan suspended the prison sentence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife in the case related to the sale of government gifts and ordered their release on bail.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Supreme Court of the capital of Pakistan suspended the 14-year prison sentence of the deposed Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife in the corruption case and ordered their release on bail.
Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were each sentenced to 14 years in prison in the court where the verdict was announced on January 31. The ruling was announced just one week before the national elections on February 8 in this country.
