EU blacklists three Palestinian entities

13 Apr 2024 - 11:41

The European Union, in a statement continuing to support the criminal Zionist regime and ignore the killing of the defenseless and oppressed Palestinians in Gaza, blacklisted three military wings of Hamas as well as the Islamic Jihad Movement for their participation in the Al-Aqsa storm operation.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: According to the EU statement, the listed entities are the Al-Quds Brigades, Palestinian Islamic Jihad; Nukhba Force and the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
"With today’s listings, restrictive measures under the EU’s Global Human Rights Sanctions Regime now apply to 104 natural and legal persons and 26 entities from multiple countries," the statement reads.
"Those listed under the sanctions regime are subject to an asset freeze, and the provision of funds or economic resources, directly or indirectly, to them or for their benefit, is prohibited. Additionally, a travel ban to the EU applies to the natural persons listed," it added.
"In its conclusions of 21-22 March 2024, the European Council recalled its previous conclusions condemning Hamas in the strongest possible terms for its brutal and indiscriminate terrorist attacks across Israel on 7 October 2023, recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself in line with international law and international humanitarian law, and calling for the immediate release of all hostages without any precondition," the EU claimed without mentioning the Zionists' barbaric crimes in Gaza.
Since the onset of the Israeli regimes genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023 over 33,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in the strip. In response, the resistance movements in various countries, including Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen, have taken measures against the Israeli regime in support of the people of Gaza./IRNA
