South Korean media have reported that North Korea has tested a missile with a "super-large warhead" capable of carrying a nuclear weapon.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: North Korea's official news agency KCNA also reported that the country has tested a new anti-aircraft missile.

According to Reuters, this extremely large warhead was designed for the strategic cruise missile "Havasal-1-Ra-3" and the tested anti-aircraft missile was "Piolji-1-2".

North Korea's strategic cruise missile is said to be designed to carry a nuclear warhead. "Both tests were part of the regular activities of the government and its affiliated defense science institutes to rapidly develop technologies in various aspects, including tactical and technical performance and exploitation of new-type weapon systems, and have nothing to do with the situation in the region," KCNA reported.
