Referring to the recent torrential rains in Afghanistan, he said: Floods in Afghanistan, especially in Baghlan province, have caused the death of a large number of people in this country and the destruction of residential houses.
According to IRNA, he added: The Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran, based on its inherent duties and in line with the relief of human suffering, is ready to send medical and relief teams as well as relief items to Afghanistan in case of a request for assistance from the caretaker government of Afghanistan.
On the other hand, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul announced his readiness to help the flood victims in Afghanistan in a tweet and said: The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to send relief forces, medical teams and necessary aid items to the Afghan authorities at the request of the noble nation of Iran. The dear people of Afghanistan are sent to the affected areas as soon as possible through the Red Crescent and the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee.
It should be mentioned that following the heavy rains of the last few days in the country, which caused floods in Baghlan, Badakhshan, Ghor and Herat provinces of Afghanistan; In addition to heavy damages, it has also left casualties.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Return and Migrants, so far only in Baghlan Province, about 316 people have lost their lives due to floods and about a thousand houses have been destroyed.
It should be mentioned that in the month of Mizan last year and after the severe earthquake in Herat province, the Islamic Republic of Iran was the first country to help the people of Afghanistan and the earthquake victims.
