In this regard, he said: "Gaza should be under the auspices of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the legitimate Palestinian government."

The head of the self-governing organization further added that Israel's plans for temporary control over the Gaza Strip are not acceptable.

Mahmoud Abbas spoke about the administration of Gaza while the Zionist regime's TV Channel 12 reported on Sunday night that the head of the self-governing organization recently presented a 101-page document to the United States on how to administer the Gaza Strip.

Channel 12 reported that in this document, it has been emphasized that extensive international assistance is needed to meet the government and security needs in Gaza, as well as to advance some matters, including removing debris, repairing buildings, and communication and electrical networks.

In the continuation of his interview with Sputnik, Mahmoud Abbas discussed the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political office of Hamas, and said: "The Palestinian Authority considers Haniyeh's assassination a cowardly act and a dangerous change in Israel's policies."
