Celebrating the World Week of "Breastfeeding" in Sarpol and Badakhshan Provinces

The officials of public health departments of Sarpol and Badakhshan provinces celebrated the World Breastfeeding Week and said that breast milk is the best and most complementary food and type of nutrition for babies from birth to two years of age and mothers are advised to Pay attention to the context.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Dr. Najibullah Ghoushi, the representative of Public Health Department of Badakhshan Province, says that mother's milk is the greatest gift from God, which no type of nutrition and vitamins can replace, and I ask all mothers to give their babies From birth to the age of two, they should give their own milk in order to ensure the health and safety of their children while gaining rewards.
Maulvi Mohammad Hassan Asim, head of public health of Sarpul province, stated that the purpose of holding a ceremony to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week is to raise awareness among mothers and the importance of feeding babies with breastmilk, and I would like everyone to know about this.
At the same time, a number of officials and scholars in Sarpol and Badakhshan provinces say: feeding a baby with mother's milk makes it resistant to diseases and provides immunity. According to them, breast milk is a strong and suitable food for babies.
They added that mothers and families should pay attention to and follow the recommendations of Islam and the medical staff to feed the baby with breast milk for the health of the children.
The speakers of these ceremonies stated that feeding a baby with breast milk brings health to both the mother and the baby, and unnecessary spending like buying powdered milk is avoided.
It should be mentioned that the statistics in Sarpul province show that in the past year, about 45 thousand babies were evaluated in terms of growth and development, of which 1 thousand 738 babies were malnourished and among them 1 thousand 405 babies recovered.
It should be mentioned that for the past 23 years, the World Breastfeeding Week has been celebrated in the country every year.
