Border Minister visits Ghor/ Resolves 100-year-old dispute between two ethnic groups in Ghor province
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: Ethnic disputes have been going on for many years between the Bai Baqa and Sardar tribes in Dolat Yar district of Ghor province, which has been going on over their agricultural lands and properties. The visit of the Minister of Border Affairs, Ethnic and Tribal Affairs and the efforts of the governor, the head of the Council of Ulema, elders and influential tribal leaders in the province led to peace and reconciliation.
In a ceremony held on the occasion at the Ghor provincial governor's office, Mullah Noorullah Noori, Minister of Ethnic and Tribal Border Affairs, said: There were issues between ethnic groups because of party, race and other issues. Even this problem had arisen from house to house. After the victory and consolidation of the Islamic Emirate, all ethnic differences and conflicts were resolved in the country.
The Minister of Ethnic and Tribal Borders also added: It is the responsibility and duty of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to resolve the inherent differences among Muslims and create an atmosphere of intimacy and brotherhood instead.
"Our purpose in visiting Ghor province was to meet the people, resolve inherent differences, especially the problems and disputes of the Bai Baqa and Sardar tribes in Dolat Yar district of the province," he explained.
In the continuation of the ceremony, the head of enjoining good and forbidding evil and hearing the complaint of Ghor said: After the victory of the Islamic Emirate in the country, especially in Ghor province, all ethnic conflicts and differences have been resolved and now all ethnic groups live in peace and security.
Finally, the head of the Ghor Ulema Council said: Resolving ethnic conflicts and charity is not only the responsibility of the government, but the responsibility of every Muslim to try to reform society and create an atmosphere of intimacy and brotherhood.
At the end of the ceremony, the decision on the peace and reconciliation line between the two ethnic groups was announced in the presence of the participants and the parties, and then the parties were satisfied with the peace line and promised peace and mutual acceptance.
