Putin does not participate in the UN General Assembly
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that the Russian president will not attend the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly because the United States is not a suitable host for such events.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Dmitry Peskov", the spokesman of the Russian Presidential Palace (Kremlin), announced in his press conference today (Tuesday) that "Vladimir Putin" will not attend the UN General Assembly meeting in New York this year.
Peskov said: Putin has no plans to go to New York. He has not been there in recent years. The United States is a country that does not fulfill its obligations as the host of the UN headquarters in the best way.
According to the report of Rasha Today, the last time Putin attended the UN General Assembly and gave a speech was in 2015. In 2020, he also read a pre-recorded speech at this event.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will head the Russian delegation at this year's session of the UN General Assembly.
Russian officials have repeatedly accused the United States of not fulfilling its obligations at the United Nations and point to long delays in issuing visas to Russian diplomatic personnel. In April 2023, the United States refused to allow Russian journalists with Lavrov to enter the UN headquarters, and Washington officials accused them of propaganda.
The Kremlin spokesman also emphasized about the Ukrainian attacks on residential areas in Russia that there is no way to connect the night attacks on residential areas with war.
He added: "Kiev regime continues to show its nature." These are our enemies. Therefore, we must continue military operations to protect ourselves from such a face of such a regime.
According to Isna, this Russian official pointed out: The Kremlin believes that Russian soldiers have gained significant experience in repelling drone attacks and are showing good results.
