Iran Successfully Launches Chamran-1 Research Satellite into Orbit
Iran launched its Chamran-1 research satellite into orbit early Saturday, marking another significant achievement in the country’s space program.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: In the early hours of Saturday, Iran successfully launched the Chamran-1 research satellite aboard the Qaem-100 satellite carrier.
The Chamran-1 satellite has been designed and built by the Space Group of Iran Electronics Industries (SAIran), in collaboration with the Aerospace Research Institute and private tech companies.
Weighing approximately 60 kilograms, its primary mission is to test hardware and software systems for orbital maneuver technology validation.
The satellite also has secondary tasks, including assessing the performance of cold gas propulsion subsystems in space systems and navigation and attitude control subsystems.
The solid-fuel Qaem-100 carrier, developed by experts from the Aerospace Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), successfully placed the Chamran-1 satellite into orbit in its second orbital mission./Tasnim News
