The Jordanian government resigned
After the victory of the Islamists in the Jordanian elections, the government of this country submitted its resignation to the king of this country today (Sunday).
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Jordanian government headed by Bashar al-Khasauneh today submitted his resignation to King Abdullah II of Jordan.

According to Jordanian media reports, Jaafar Hassan, the director of the office of the King of Jordan, will be required to form a new government.

According to the report of Siddi al-Balad, Hassan has previously met with several Jordanian personalities to find out their opinion about joining the government. This issue shows that his government will probably be formed by Tuesday and he will be sworn in.

The new cabinet is likely to include Jordanian figures such as Walid al-Masri, Abdul Moneim al-Audat, Khair Abu Saeiliq, Sami al-Samirat, Omar Malhas, Mohand Shahada and Abdul Hakim al-Hindi.

Bishr al-Khasawneh government was formed on October 7, 2020 instead of Omar al-Razzaz government.

Jordan is a constitutional monarchy whose constitution was approved on January 8, 1952. The executive power rests with the King of Jordan and his cabinet. The king signs and approves all laws. Two-thirds of both houses of the Jordanian National Assembly can override the King's veto. The king can appoint and dismiss all judges, approve amendments to the constitution, declare war and give orders to the armed forces. Cabinet decisions, court rulings and the national currency are issued in his name. The Council of Ministers, headed by the Prime Minister, is appointed by the King, who can also dismiss any cabinet member at the request of the Prime Minister. The cabinet must be accountable to the Jordanian House of Representatives for issues related to general policy, and this body can force the cabinet to resign with a "no-confidence" vote of two-thirds of its members.
